DBT Modality

You know those moments when your emotions feel way too big, and it’s like you’re doing everything you can just to hold it together? That’s where DBT comes in. It’s a practical, skill-based approach that helps you handle those intense moments without spiraling or making things worse.

We’ll work on things like staying present when your mind’s racing (that’s mindfulness), getting through tough emotions without shutting down (distress tolerance), learning how to name and manage your feelings (emotion regulation), and having healthier boundaries and communication in your relationships (interpersonal effectiveness).

It’s not just talking, it’s real tools you can use in your everyday life. And we’ll go at your pace, practicing together until it starts to feel more natural. If that sounds like something you need, I’ve got you. Let’s start.

Happy Family

If life’s been throwing a lot at you lately, work pressure, school stress, big changes, and you’re feeling stretched way too thin, you’re not alone. DBT has some really practical tools that can help you stay grounded, ride out the tough moments, and handle emotions without feeling like they’re taking over.

In therapy, we’ll explore things like mindfulness to stay present, tools for calming down when everything feels too much, ways to understand your emotions better, and how to handle tough conversations without losing yourself. We’ll figure out what actually fits your life and practice until these skills start to feel like second nature.

Good Faith Estimate You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who donʼt have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any nonemergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (615) 988-4763.
